At SRC, we could not continue the life changing work we’re so proud of without the dedication of our wonderful volunteer team! If you’re looking to get involved in the work that we do, then why not consider joining us as a volunteer. If you’re a passionate about ending sexual violence against women and girls and you’re eager to learn, it could be for you! 

TRUSTEES:

Our Trustees are responsible for maintaining our organization and making strategic decisions about our objectives and aims. 

We recruit for Trustee’s all year round, so if you are: 

  • A strategic thinker with good independent judgement?
  • Creative?
  • A strong team player?
  • Passionate about gender equality and ending Violence Against Women and Girls?
  • Experienced in a key business area?
  • Wanting to use your skills to make a difference?
  • Skilled in, financial management, fundraising, recruitment and management, or marketing

HELPLINE VOLUNTEERS:

Our Helpline is staffed by a team of volunteers, and we provide specialist training to help you understand violence against women and girls, sexual violence, and to give you the practical support skills needed to support women on the helpline. 

We recruit Helpline volunteers annually; however, we welcome applications all year round, and will get in touch before the next intake. 

If you are:

  • Passionate about gender equality and ending Violence Against Women and Girls?
  • Willing to learn about the impacts of sexual violence on survivors
  • Wanting to use your skills to make a difference?
  • Good at communicating with strong interpersonal skills?
  • Aged 18 +
  • Able to travel to our Ipswich office at least twice a month to complete your shifts?
  • Able to commit to our 6-week specialist training programme

then come and join our Helpline Team. This role requires a high level of commitment, so please read the person description thoroughly before making an application.
