If you are looking to support a survivor of sexual violence who is under 14, these resources may be useful.

CHILDLINE

If you are younger than 14, or if you are under the age of 19 and would prefer to speak to a young persons’ service, you can call Childline on 0800 1111. Childline is a free, private service for children and young people to talk about their problems or worries and receive emotional support. The service is open all times of day and the number will not show up on bills. They also offer 121 web chat with trained counsellors.

4YP

4YP are based in Ipswich, Suffolk and can offer counselling, drop in services, and other groups and activities for those over the age of 12. You can contact them on 01473 252607 or enquiries@syphp.org.uk

BRAVE FUTURES

Brave Futures is a specialist support service for children and young people up to the age of 18 years who have experienced sexual abuse. We work throughout Suffolk and Norfolk. Providing a safe place for children and young people to make sense of the confusion they feel. We give children and young people the skills and tools they need to re-build their futures, manage the trauma they have experienced and help them move from victim to survivor.
